using AR TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BED BUGS TRAVELLING FROM PARIS.

In 2023, Paris experienced a bedbug outbreak that caused national concern and media attention. What people weren’t realizing is that, when they travelled back to their home countries, the bugs flew first-class with them. This AR filter aimed to raise awareness for the bed bug issue, and informed people of how to rid your belongings of any potential bed bugs. Paired with a social media campaign, we aimed to rid the world of bed bugs altogether.

We created a social campaign where we featured luggage with bed bug stickers on them, hoping to get people’s attention about just how easily bed bugs can travel. The AR filter, created through Instagram, would take a real-time picture of you, geo-located in Paris, and infest your screen with bed bugs.
